Someone Call The Po Po

Goodness gracious that was a long day!  Time seems to be standing still as I go over list after list to be sure I'm getting everything packed for my trip over the Sierra Mountains.  I'm only taking about 40 gallons of water instead of the usual 56.  And how do I know that?  I bought one of those little gizzies that attaches to the end of the hose and tells me how many gallons went through.  I would take less, but the people I have to work with insist I take a shower while I'm there.

About the only thing I have left to pack is the food ... both the kids and mine.  I actually pack very little so I can take on water.

It was a nice sunny, although cold morning as I watched the clock tick by ... mostly checking the weather every five minutes.  It's looking pretty good for Friday and Saturday.  Thank you, the prayers are working.

And then it was time to head on down to the Magic Kingdom of Bingo.  I hate it when I'm the first one to arrive at the Knights table in the turret.  I get THE LOOK when I only order coke!!

At last six guys showed up and we had a rousing round of laughter over the return of the players.  It's also where I spend at least 30 minutes fixing people's phone and watch problems.  Things like it won't light up when I move my arm ... this isn't working ... that isn't working.  Most everything involves updating either the watch or the phone, neither of which they want to do.  I feel the same about my computer.

And so the bell tolled and we all headed downstairs to the dungeon.  The players who are NOT members, come in the farthest doorway.  The line starts at my door here and goes almost completely around the room.  Speed is of the essence.  If you aren't fast enough, they get tired of not moving and chaos reigns.

Let me just also say that everyone is not a skinny minny.  Many of these gals tip the scales at twice my weight, which is why on occasion, you have to be tactful so you don't get sat on.  NOT kidding.

On this night, one gal coming through the door tapped another gal on the shoulder and said Happy New Year.  Nothing, right?  That would be WRONG.  In an instant I heard WHY YOU PUSHING ME?  I AIN'T PUSHING YOU B----!!  As you can imagine, that didn't go over so well.

Now I have two women screaming bloody murder at each other in front of my table.  I never knew you could say so many F words in one sentence!!  I said Ladies .... that's enough.  By now they were pushing and shoving.  LADIES ... KNOCK IT OFF!!!

In nothing flat they were nose to nose with arms waving.  I yelled at the King who bravely walked in between them and told them to STOP!!  Heck I was already on my phone calling 911!!!  Finally their friends took one lady away while the other continued to rail at my table.  STOP IT RIGHT NOW or you won't be playing.  She gave me the look and finally walked off with another 25 "F" words spewing out of her mouth.  Good grief!!!

The good news is I didn't get sat on!!  Although there was a little pitchfork waving later, we did not have to call the Po Po on this night.  I dodged a bullet there!  You've gotta love Bingo!!

It still looks like I'll be leaving Saturday, but with the weather guessers saying a HUGE storm is coming in and get your sandbags HERE, means I'm still hesitant.  I thought if I had no choice, I would go over the Grapevine.  Who knew it was the same elevation as Tehachapi??

It would just be a SHAME if I had to stay home instead of going to this wonderful rally!!  I guess that's not going to happen, because they already said I could just drive my truck and stay in a hotel.  After all, SOMEONE has to make sure that ICE CREAM is delivered!!!!

  1. Next time you have an argument going.. look at the fingernails💅 the only time they’re gonna get physical if the fingernails are short…. Long fingernails cost $$$ to fix
And Karens spent too much money to get there

  2. Once the "F" word starts flying, just say, "Excuse me ladies! Let's save those "F" words for when your favorite President is coming to town! lol

Grapevine is just as high, but it isn't as cold (normally)...but Saturday looks like a good day for going your favorite route.

  5. Maybe a ban on the rowdy bunch would help however maybe you wouldn’t have many players if you had to ban all the rowdies. Lol

    1. Exactly! Although there are a couple we have banned, we try not to do that. The Elks are VERY forgiving.
