Let The Fights Begin!!!

Oh my goodness, I don't know where to begin.  Was it a full moon last night?  It MUST have been a full moon, because they came out of the woodwork like sugar ants looking for their last meal.

It was the last Bingo of the year.  All of us "employees" get two whole weeks off, and let me tell you, we are HAPPY!!!  We were dancing all night long, except for short breaks of fighting, arguing and yelling at the top of our lungs!!

It was my night to count the cards.  I try to be as careful as I am on the infernal machine, because if you get one wrong, you hear it in octaves almost as high and loud as an opera singer.  She came back with six cards in hand, saying we charged her for six SETS.  Yup ... that's what we did, because we GAVE her six sets.  I remember asking about it because that's more than anyone normally plays.
She kept yelling I AM NOT A LIAR.  I know you aren't ... and neither is anyone else here.  She finally stormed off before it came to blows.

Next up, the King had a scuffle with our loudest male player.  You could hear him clear across the building.  He's a center-of-attention kind of guy.  These times do try us.

The last big fight was between players.  One never seems to have money, so he borrows it from everyone. You and I know you NEVER EVER loan money to a gambler.  He's a very lucky guy, and he WON.  Apparently he paid back some, but not all.  I thought there was going to be a fistfight right in front of our table.  She could have taken him, I'm sure.  He finally walked away with his money still in his hand.

The King, in an effort to be generous for Christmas, gave out 30 gift cards worth $10 each at Target.  That means one third of our players got SOMETHING, along with our $5,250 payouts.  Not bad.

Hopefully by the time they all return in January, Santa Claus will have put manners in their stockings.

After a night like that, nothing makes me feel better than snuggling with my baby boy!!  That reminds me, I need to go Christmas shopping for the puppies.
I'll relay the meat counter story to you tomorrow.  With only five hours sleep, I'm hoping for a few Zzzzzzz's before heading off to our Bingo Volunteer Christmas Dinner tonight.  Prime rib is on the menu.  Not that it rubs out all that discord we put up with, but it helps!!!

  1. Oh good grief! I can't believe the stories you tell of how grown-ups behave!
They all should be ashamed of themselves.
Enjoy the prime rib dinner, you deserve it! Cute picture of Cooper.

  5. We played Christmas Bingo at the Burdick Christmas Party, that was fun. Instead of letters/numbers it was "Christmas Bells", "Santa", "Christmas Cookies", etc. The thing is, you have to look all over your card since you have no idea what and where it might be on your card, if it is on your card. Once someone won, they kept playing with what you had already. Once five or six people won, they cleared the cards and started again. The winnings? Everyone was suppose to bring a few gifts, unwrapped. EVERYONE had a good time, and absolutely NO FIGHTS or ARGUMENTS.
