A big thank you to all the DADS across the country. Without you we wouldn't be here. I hope you get the prettiest, most special tie you've ever received!! At our house, it was cake!! We all got to delve into a gorgeous chocolate cake at BREAKFAST before heading out to move the cattle or switch the water. There's not a lot of holiday celebrating when there's work to be done on the ranch.
So I raise my glass to all the Dads who work hard to provide for their families.
Today's trip is a short one, down to the Elks Lodge. I will be cooking this morning for about 250. Yes it's 109 degrees hot with four ovens and two warmers, but the gigantic commercial water cooler they rolled into the kitchen yesterday should help. It blows like a nor'easter, so hang on to your hat!
