I Survived!! Part One

Yes, this was me this morning as I got ready to leave the house before 6:30 am.  I may be up really early in the morning, but I don't venture out before 9:00 if I can help it.  Where's my coffee!!  It's not working!!

The fog rolled in pretty heavily, but this was nothing compared to what came on a little later.  It was a long freezing cold wet morning.  If I had long johns, I would have worn them, because unlike 95% of the rest of the volunteers, I knew what was coming.  Tights, heavy Levis, ski socks, snow boots, two shirts, a wool scarf (which I NEVER wear) and my biggest ski parka and I was out the door, walking like a stick man.

Everyone was late ... it was a ride through crazy town, but you will have to wait until tomorrow to read the rest of the story.  I'm tired, cold and hungry.  Add to that the apparent sick doggie while I was gone, and I have a really REALLY big mess to clean up.

Just another great day in sunny California.

  4. On the valves thingy. Did you put some sealer on the threads, so they don't leak? If not, you better, otherwise they will leak, and they'll be hard to fix when full of water.
