I do love waking up in the morning. It's a no brainer that it means I get to spend one more day on this earth. On the other hand, when you've been up all night from a continuous downpour and just want to sleep, actually getting UP is a pain. I hope this night is a NO repeater. The only reason I finally acquiesce is this look.
After playing a little bury-his-head-in-my-shoulder, I HAVE to get up or he will try to jump off the three foot tall bed. That's not good for a small puppy. All because he has to go outside. I jump out of bed like a sprinter down the stretch and head to the door with him hot on my heals.
Of course he always has to check out the smells first. It rained really hard all night long. That's good for California, but not so good for the nice worms that keep my lawn aerated. They crawl up on the concrete, which is the last place they should go. Cooper usually ignores them, but on this day he smelled one, then took a big bite!!! YUCK NOOOOOOO!!
I'm awake now .... as I retrieved it from his mouth. Such an innocent face .......
