Never Cooking Again!!

Oh my gosh it's COLD!!!  Could someone turn on the heat please?  Luckily I have a good little heater that keeps Jonathan at least warm enough.  I haven't seen him fluff up like a basketball yet, so that's good.  I was worried he would be too hot ... boy was I wrong!

It was 7:15 when we headed out for our walk.  I wear a t-shirt and my ski parka.  Poor Patsy wears three or four layers under a down vest, a hoodie and gloves.  She and the ladies we meet every day think there's something wrong with me.  My temperature gauge just runs hotter I guess.

No free stuff on this trip, but we did meet a guy who sleeps in the bushes with his dog because there's no room in his car.  Very sad since it was so cold.

Once back I fed Mr. Cooper.  For the first time.

Then it was off to the puzzle.  This one was making both of us hungry.  It's easier than the last one and I think will be done in two days.

Back to the rig, this is what I found.  Play time never fails ... even if you have to do it on the couch, tearing up Mom's pillow.

As I mentioned, I was going to bake that casserole.  Patsy showed me how to work the convection microwave, so I whipped up a breakfast casserole.  No ... not that one ... that's Cooper's SECOND meal.

Lunch was a quick sandwich before heading out for Pokeno.  I not only lost all MY money, but half of Patsy's too.  The ladies love it when I play because they WIN!  In the end however, I won the blackout.  Redemption!!  Patsy got MOST of her money back!!

On to dinner, the rack Patsy let me borrow was too big, so I had to turn it upside down.  I preheated like she told me, and in the oven it went for 40 minutes.  Oh yeah ... 40 minutes later, it wasn't NEAR done and I put it BACK in for 20 minutes.

STILL not done ... good grief ... I put it back in for another 40 MINUTES!  At long last it was done ... sort of.  Just don't eat the center part.

That's when Cooper decided it was time for MEAL 3.  I should have given him some of that casserole.  He would have changed his mind.

Here's my critique ...... IT WAS AWFUL!  I think it was the hash browns I got.  Totally disgusting and not edible.  I haven't thrown it in the trash yet because I don't like to be wasteful.  If it's still terrible THIS morning, it's a goner.

I am never cooking in this rig again.  It doesn't even have to be really tasty ... I will eat anything, but NOT that casserole.  From now on I'll make and freeze things like meatloaf, spaghetti, or maybe buy Lean Cuisine, pizza and Panda Express.  Why?  Because there's not enough room to cook, the trash can isn't big enough and it's WAY too much work, not to mention you actually have to WASH DISHES!!

While I tried to doze off into the land of the Sandman, my phone kept ringing.  Once again, I forgot it was Tuesday.  You got it ... the MAGIC CASTLE calleth yet again!  It seems my replacement hurt her back pretty badly, and they are trying to get by with a sweetheart of a gal who has only used the infernal machine twice.  Training ensued long into the night.  C'est la vie when you're on vacation!!

Today we are off to our craft class with Jess!  I can't wait!!  Where's the coffee!!!!!

  1. Lots of cooking time and not sure if done.....not good. :(
TV Dinners, sandwiches, cereal would work! Maybe cook at home then heat up servings when in the rig.
