A Rolling Stone Gathers No Moss

Don't you just hate it when the internet is so slow??  It's more like axle grease this morning!  In fact, I can't get any images to load at all.  With so many weekenders in the park leaving their systems on, there's no band width left for blogs.  I'll have to finish this later today when I have clubhouse access.  Here's a sampling of what's to come.

You certainly won't find any moss growing around the feet of this Golden Spike group.  What you WILL find is strong bodies with all the exercise we get from the excursions we take.  After riding the Roaring Camp steam locomotive train up to Bear Mountain and back, we stopped in at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park for a quick guided tour.  The day's total added up to 2.5 miles.

This is a cool place (literally nice and shady cool) where we saw a coyote stalking a couple of dogs and a hotel tree where you could have spent the night back in olden days.  That's INSIDE the tree ... I have pictures!!  Of course the bed is gone, but you can still see the holes for the window and the stove pipe.  Can't wait to show you!!
