The Eyes Have It

It was a slow day yesterday ... sometimes that Bingo stuff gets to me.  It's the late hours coupled with walking 9600 steps (about 4.3 miles) and climbing five flights of stairs in the last four hours of the day that does it to me.  By 9:00 am I was asleep on the couch.

Finally awake, I grabbed the next set of eyes and stuck them on the window.  I think they are 6" wide, so they show up pretty well.  I just know they will be a problem to remove, forcing me to actually WASH the windows after scraping them off with a razor blade!!  Hopefully I have trick or treaters who will appreciate them.

These eyes ... they are just the weirdest to look at.  I've seen blue cow dogs with one eye a different color, but never a cat with one green and one brown.  She certainly acts like a puppy dog.  If I go outside, she's there, purring and waiting for rubs and pets.  Still not a TAME kitty ... she doesn't like her head or her tail touched.  I can't believe how much weight she has put on.  She looks like a real kitty now instead of a Halloween creature.

While outside packing some things in the RV, she jumped right in.  A little nervous at first, something scared her and she jumped so far getting out that she almost smacked her head on the fence.  Two minutes later, she was back inside checking everything out.  NO ... she cannot go with me.  She wandered from the front to the back, got a few more pets and jumped back out the door.

And that's when I did the same.  My glasses ... which had to be remade ... came in at Costco, so I was off to town.  There were 9 people in front of me in the line ... with only ONE guy helping one lady.  He was not AT ALL in a hurry.

Finally someone in charge showed up ... you go here ... you go there ... in a flash I was being waited on.  Now that's my kind of employee.  They fit perfectly and I was out the door.

These are the coolest glasses I've ever had.  They change color with the sun.  Yes I've had similar ones before, but if you are driving in a vehicle, they turn clear ... not helping with the sun at all.  So these are for wearing inside, but turn dark if I have to go outside.

This is just how dark they get.  Amazing!  Not like the pair I got 15 years ago that didn't really get dark and took forever to change.  These were dark in less than two minutes.  I'll probably still wear regular sunglasses for driving.

I did some more packing ... just a few things since I'll only be gone two days.  This trip is ... one - to drive it a considerable distance to get the battery back up, two - to get more practice with all the bells and whistles, and three - to see how Jonathan rides.  He's getting pretty old to be traipsing around the country.

I finished up the wreath, though I could not for the life of me figure out how to attach the witches hat without cutting it to pieces.  Instead, I scrounged through the garage and found my parrot skeleton and stuck him at the bottom.  DON'T TELL JONATHAN!!  I'll find something more suitable later.

I'm mostly packed ... just the food stuff and our three bodies left.  I found this casserole of Mac 'n cheese with BACON in the freezer, so I had a bit for dinner, stuffing the rest into containers to eat while I'm there.

I charged up the camera batteries in case I get a chance to walk the beach, but I'm not holding my breath.  Of course it's going to rain, so I'll have to pack a raincoat.  Maybe it will be enough to wash the dirt off the rig so I don't have to.

AND I'M OFF ....................

Lightly tinted when driving - ok for me.
    Safe travels!
