The weather could not be more perfect. 63 to 88 is right in my wheelhouse. It's perfect for walking before the sun comes up, trying to work off a little of that 2.5 pounds Mr. Cooper has put on.
Then, once I'm wide awake, HE goes back to sleep on the couch. It's just not fair!!!
The rest of the day was less than exciting. I tried to clean up the house a bit more since company was coming. I checked the camera from the night before, catching this just as I got home. Notice there are now TWO shadows following me across the patio. I guess this is going to be the norm from now on.
Sure I said, as he handed me this book with a request to do a review when I was done. Okay, though the subject is far from what I would EVER pick up to read.
We got a drink from the bar and sat at our table. From there on it was a blur from the food coma. There's nothing to see here because I completely forgot to take a picture. This is all you're getting today ... an ugly mess of food dumped into a to-go box. I wasn't going to waste one WONDERFUL bite. For our lodge to produce this kind of a meal is just amazing to me.
The scampi was over the top delicious, with the best baked potatoes, followed up with perfectly cooked asparagus. The problem was I was stuffed to the gills from the huge salad bar with homemade potato salad, clam chowder soup and those garlic bread sticks I love.
What's that piece of chicken laying there? We met friends Kathy and Nick who had four huge pieces of chicken each. They passed one on to me.
I was full and miserable when we got home, so I sat on the couch and speed read the little book. It's an interesting concept, though I'm not sure how safe hydrogen fuel would be. Apparently he wrote it maybe two years ago? Much of the world has now changed, so it's not as relevant.
Add to that the cost of setting up fuel manufacturing, not to mention fuel stations across the entire country, and I think it would be a futile attempt at lowering costs. They say it is "safe" but highly flammable, meaning if there's a leak, your house will blow up? They are not clear on that point.
Hydrogen engines for trucks and cars would have to be built, hydrogen engine mechanics trained, it all seems a little crazy to switch over when we have more gas and oil reserves than most. At least in my neighborhood, our current energy producing manufacturers will never switch over, causing themselves a huge loss of moolah. They would have to charge us double or triple, just to come up with enough money to manufacture it, making the consumer price through the roof. Maybe many moons in the future when I'm dead and gone.
That's it ... that's all I've got today. I'll try to do a little better ... maybe even take a picture or two of Hobby Lobby, because that's where we are headed. Yes, I've leaving my credit card home.
Looks like you have a new fur baby to take care of!
ReplyDeleteSadly, yes. I mean she's such a sweet kitty, how could I not ... but I want to travel!!!
DeleteCooper and kittie seem to be getting along now!
ReplyDeleteYes they are! Cooper isn't thrilled, but Kitters loves him!
DeleteSo cute to see your little friends following you. Glad they are getting along.
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday!
Frances:)
I think Cooper would like to chase her, but she doesn't run, so that's a good thing.
DeleteMr. Ed said by now you’re aware that hydrogen is a component of H2O . It’s already used in trucks And ships and widely excepted. a lot of Auto companies are investing In that technology, because of zero admissions and that’s what’s driving the auto industry lithium batteries are good but not for the environment. Hydrogen is good and they don’t have to change much on the engine components. To get zero admissions invest in it it’s gonna be Part of the new future
ReplyDeleteThat's funny because the last administration never mentioned it. It was all lithium batteries and solar.
DeleteHey Cooper, tell "Mom" that she needs to make space for me in the Van. I will leave Johnathan alone, he is too big for me anyway. Love ya bro, Kitters.... LOL
ReplyDeleteNOOOOOO! Bad Dave ... BAD!! I'm sure she would jump out the door the first time I opened it.
DeleteNancy the lodge has some great cooks in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteLoved the picture of your little buddies following you.
Sue
Yes they do have great cooks. It's just amazing what they can do with food ... and feed 100-150 people special orders all at once.
DeleteI agree with everyone, seeing your shadows together like that means that Cooper has accepted Kitty. Love that.
ReplyDeleteBig book, small book, I'd be asleep after the first page with that one!
Me too! Becky
DeleteMe three ... not my kind of reading at all! It was interesting I guess, but I think it's a thing of the future when we are all gone.
DeleteAnybody, is this the same concept as the car that runs on water the kid in Africa built? (He's not the first) Is that splitting the hydrogen from the H2O?
ReplyDeleteAccording to the book, they split hydrogen from water, and that's your fuel ... not the water, but the hydrogen part.
DeleteThanks, Nancy. A couple other guys, separately at different times, that also discovered this concept and built an engine, died mysteriously. One in a mass shooting. "They" don't want to give up the big money they make from oil.
