Got SOUP??

Okay ... so the last blog or so, I posted the UFO pics.  I admit, they were taken INSIDE my rig and it was the lights reflecting in the windows.  THIS however, was taken OUTSIDE the rig.  There was NOTHING in the sky except the moon.  In fact, I was pretty shocked when I saw this.  What the heck?

That was a "live" picture.  I shut it off and took THIS image of the moon.  Nothing ... there's nothing there.  What can I say.  It's Quartzsite!!  And spooky!!

When the sun finally came up, Patsy was waiting for me to get my act together for a walk.  Off we went into the cold dark morning.  Something like 3 miles later, we were back in the wind free morning.  That's more like the Quartzsite I know.

With nothing going on today, it didn't take me long to get back to the puzzle.  I would have STILL been working on this next Friday, but Patsy came in to help out.  I'm telling you, she's a pro.  We finished it in no time.

Back at the rig, I tried to vacuum a bit.  All the stuff on the floor kind of got in the way.  Here's one I didn't mention before.  My windshield washer brush thingy.  No I haven't used it yet.  I am trying to figure out a way to hang it on the wall however, because I've stepped on it six times.

That's when I made a BIG mistake.  While looking for extra paper plates, I found a Cooper Christmas present.  I should have stuffed it back in the cupboard.

But NO ... we began a three hour marathon of this!!  Squeak squeak squeak!  At one point he would pick it up, drop it down on the step by the door, and bark until I went and retrieved it.

How could I not.  Just LOOK at this face!!  He was a happy boy ALL afternoon.

Dinner was a potluck in the clubhouse.  Soup and salad they said.  I signed up for a spinach mandarin orange salad.  Luckily I found both in the grocery store.  Too bad for me, the spinach froze in the veggie bin in the fridge.  Just my luck.

I didn't think there would be too many people, so I sorted through every single leaf of lettuce, salvaging every one I could.  I added mandarin oranges, pecans and cranberries.  It actually turned out okay.

I think there were at least three instant pots of soup, along with a couple of slow cookers full.  Patsy made broccoli cheese.  I inhaled that so fast I didn't get a single picture.  It was delicious!!  The only other one I tried was one Jess made.  We sat with her and her husband at the table.  They both run marathons, so we have lots in common, and of course RV'ing.

Jess made this one of sweet potato, celery, black eyed peas and kale.  Definitely not something I would make.  Well let me tell you, it was ALSO delicious.  I ate the entire bowl.   Now I'm craving broccoli, cheese, black eyed peas and kale.  Who knew?

Full to the brim, we headed back to our rigs.  It was a very nice dinner get-together the park put on, and I have leftover salad for lunch.

It's Sunday, and it looks like we will get all the way up to 66 degrees today.  Woohoo!!  It's definitely soup weather!

Today we are expecting company.  Deb and Tom are coming in for happy hour and to pick up batteries Deb and Riley ordered, which were delivered to Bill here at the park.  Then they are headed off to Ogilby Road.  You've got to love RV people.  They will always be happy to help you out if you need it.

  1. A Tom and Deb visit sounds pretty nice! Zoey would have done the same thing with that toy.

  2. You need to try Jigsaw Explorer on the internet. You pick out a puzzle you want to play, the number of pieces, the color of the background and you can even have the just the border pieces displayed. You also pick the number of pieces. I can do a 600 piece puzzle in a couple of hours. There's also no storing boxes of puzzles or the high cost to purchase them.
