Monday 8,657 steps Tuesday 8,115 steps Wednesday 8,128 steps Thursday 10,651 steps Friday 8,794 steps. WHEW! It's time for a rest.
What better way to start the day than dumping your tanks. Next time I'll wait longer, in spite of what the gauges say.
Soon Patsy was saying "LET'S GO"! Here we are heading out, but this time a little later in gorgeous warm sunny weather with NO wind. By the end of the trip, I had my coat off. There was no rest however, since Mr. Cooper became pretty demanding this day.
Once back, Patsy said she had a new puzzle to try. YIKES!! It's all yellow ... and crazy hard! THIS is a Patsy puzzle for sure!! We persevered until lunch time
I contemplated cooking rice for lunch, but didn't want to clean up the big mess when it overflowed the too-small pan I have. This trip has been an eyeopener in the food department. I thought I just had to rethink the sleeping quarters and the TV. Come to find out, food is much more important ... and MUCH more complicated. I may have to live on Ramen Noodles when traveling. Just add water.
Luckily I still have frozen leftover pizza. Into the frying pan it went. I think I've got this one down pat now. Not too cold, not too hot, but JUST RIGHT!
And of course the King of the Castle demanded another walk. There's only three choices to determine why there's a cold nose in my face. Food, ball play or go for a walk. After being pestered for 20 minutes, I relented. Persistent little guy! I knew there would be more ......
Back to the puzzle ... you know, since it's a day of rest. We made great inroads after spending a lot of time staring at the box cover.
It was finally dinnertime, but I wasn't the least bit motivated. You would think with all this walking that I would be more hungry. Nothing sounded good, so I grabbed a can of chicken from Costco and dolled it up with cranberries, nuts and apples. Add a few crackers and I was full, with leftovers for two more meals.
I spent the next hour trying to find something for Cooper to eat. I think he's as particular as I am. I guessed wrong this time, because we finally went on yet ANOTHER walk around the park. I'm blaming all those "steps" on him. Once back home, I worked on the blanket for a little while longer before becoming a lump on a log.
The sunset was quite nice, followed by some laughable TV when our terrible governor Newsom crashed the airport arrival of President Trump, who went to check out the damage from the fires. He wasn't invited, and it was pretty obvious he was trying to take credit for the President's arrival as he dashed out on the tarmac. Most of us Californians know HE is the big problem.
The good news is the President stated (at the request of one of the people at the conference table), the Federal money will be handled by someone he appoints ... NOT the governor nor the mayors. FINALLY ... some accountability!! I won't go in to the rest of it, but the President really got in their faces.
On this night, the back sunset was just as nice as the real one. It was a great day in the desert ... not so cold ... more like normal. I hope it keeps it up, at least until it starts to rain on Monday. Mother Nature like to play jokes on us.
I'm off for another walk this morning!!!
Enjoy your Saturday!
ReplyDeleteCooper looks like he's ready for a walk.
Frances:)
Cooper always looks like that! LOL
DeleteIt is the beginning of the end for ol' Gavin. He can't be out the door soon enough. I would hate to be him and have Trump gunning for me, but he needs to have any future political plans shut down right now. Can you imagine him as President? He would be worse than Biden and Kamala combined.
ReplyDeleteI agree 100%!!! Even the democrats are complaining about him now.
DeleteYour steps are certainly putting mine to shame. I'm crediting your shorter legs and Coopers needs!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that you like early morning walks too.
This kid ... it's at least four long walks a day!! I love early morning walks ... you get it done and still have lots of time to get things done!
DeleteI couldn't agree more with your comments on Newsom. He was trying to be Trump's best buddy on the tarmac, hugging, patting on the back and even Melania was included. He doesn't seem to realize that we (Calfornians) see right through him. Then Bass, the LA Mayor, tried to make it look like she has it all under control and Trump called her on it. The Governor and Mayor have both met their match and it's about time. Just speaking for myself as a fourth generation native.
ReplyDeleteSame native ... He really put them both in their place. I'm loving it!!
DeleteI admire your dedication to the walks and the puzzles. Cooper deserves all the attention he can get and you did a good job with him considering his age.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, those puzzles sure keep your brain working. As for the kid, yup I loves him!! LOL
DeleteWe like Mountain House freeze dried meals. You literally just add water and wait. They are very tasty.
ReplyDeleteLinda Sand
That's what I need. Thank you Linda for the name. I've never known which brand to try. I'll get some.
DeleteGauges? Why even have them if they read 2/3rds full RIGHT after you dump???? Mine have done that from my first dump!
ReplyDeleteGood for Trump in not letting libs handle the $$$$. In the past, a large percent of FEMA funds have been diverted to other, non FEMA stuff.
I 'think' we are going to hit 60 degrees, despite the 35 low early this morning. Winter is winding down in Florida
I love that he took all the illegals money and gave it to South Carolina!! Surprisingly, my gauges work pretty well. I just dumped it too soon. Time will tell if I can get better at it! LOL.
