TA-DAAAAA!!!

Thank you everyone for the nice comments on the walkway.  They have finally made it to the end, so now the work begins on the edging and cutting the slight curves.  I have to say it's SO very nice not to have to watch every step to be sure you don't trip and fall.
Once it's complete, work can begin on the little back patio, replacing the flagstone that was disintegrating with every step I took.  Luckily, none of it was set in concrete.  I kept all the big pieces to make an entry way into the garage side door at some later date.

I have to say it's pretty boring sitting around here all day doing nothing.  The crew actually brought a tiny microwave for lunch, so they haven't been leaving for their traditional 90 minute break.  I spent a couple hours cutting and sewing before watching mind-numbing television.  I must get 300 channels and can only force myself to watch two of them.
I have not heard from the Contractor about the porch, so when the guys left, I jumped in the Jeep and made a beeline for Petco.  Cooper has completely destroyed every ball in the house.  At this particular time, the extras reside in the rig.  It was cheaper to drive to Petco.  This made me happy .... the last time I fueled up in California, it came to $65.  THIS time, with my Safeway points, it was $1.93 a gallon.  Yahoo!!!!
As to my RV, I finally got a call from Carlos, only because I called him first.  He says he can't get the jacks to fail, but the guy who can fix the slide covers is back to work and it will be in the bay today.

Just try opening the bay doors when it's been up on jacks all night long ... or put a level on the floor.  I don't know what to say other than the jacks work, they just don't keep it up and level all night.  Oh well ..... maybe next time.  Hopefully I get it back by the end of the week.

I'm happy to say I'm prepared for the next week or so.  I've got my umbrella, my sandals, my ski parka, my shorts, my turtle neck shirts, my suntan lotion, my advil and my mukluks!  It's going to be in the mid 50's today.  Woohoo!!!!

  1. You really nailed the perfect colorway for the pavers of that walkway, didn't you? Very, very nice! Can't wait to see the patio when it gets done.

    1. Thank you Leilani. I liked the darker colors a little better, which will be even brighter when they are sealed.

  3. Your walkway is coming together nicely. It sure is a long one. You must own half the state. :)) Glad they're finally working on your coach. You need to take it and get out of Tucson and come to Yuma before the rain and cold hit.

    1. That walkway is 75 feet long ... a huge part of the cost! Can you believe they are forecasting SNOW for next week?

  4. Love the pavers, it certainly does look halfway across the state, as Doug says! :)
Strange about the jacks but at least things are finally getting done.
The picture of the fuel gauge, you did hit the Monopoly! :)

    1. Unfortunately they can't get the jacks to duplicate my problem, so they are not being fixed. Maybe next year! LOL

  5. The walkway is definitely turning our nice.
There are other RVers we follow that have replaced their levelers with a company in Michigan because of similar problems. http://mills-travels.blogspot.com/ is one that just did it this past year.
Keep trying to get hold of the Contractor for the stoop.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  6. Did you get the lighted pavers? They're pretty cool, they glow at night. I think we have the same bricks that you have.

    1. No lighted pavers. Good heavens, the price was crazy as it is! Does sound like a really cool idea though. Same pavers? Great minds think alike! Haha
