It's "D" Day!!

Unfortunately, it's DEPARTURE Day for the kids and I as I pack up and head back to California.  I spent most of yesterday continuing to look for my dream Santa Fe house, but have run out of luck and time.  There are lots of them out there, it's just that someone else is living in them!!

Since I was SO close to the Cactus Patch fabric store, I ran in for one more look.  I was trying to find something to go with the Australian fabric below, when I ran smack dab into THIS!!  The colors were right up my alley.  If you see something you really like, BUY IT NOW ... because when you come back in two days, most of it will be gone with the wind.
I picked up the snake fabric at the bottom first, not really thinking I would do much with it ... after all, it is rather weird stuff.  That triggered the "hunt" for something more!  Like my cooking, I was hoping I could pull a rabbit out of the hat and it would turn out amazing.  Good luck with that, right?  This is an example of not having a pattern FIRST and not buying what you need when you see it.  Pay no attention to Cooper's ball ... he was insisting I play with him!!
Yup ..... this one is going to be really WEIRD with a capital W.  I'll let you know how it goes.

So I'll be off in a couple of hours for Quartzsite.  If you were thinking of getting fuel this morning at the Pilot Station, I recommend you wait until noon.  I'll be there at some point trying to figure out how to get in and out without hitting anything or completely stopping traffic!!

At some point I hope I get over this phobia about fuel stations and first time visits to RV parks!!!

  1. We never have to worry about fuel stations, since we disconnect the truck from the fiver and then fill up. We have an auxiliary tank which allows us to travel a great distance (we never do) without a fuel stop.

    1. I know .... much easier with a truck. I had an extra large fuel tank installed on my Chevy truck, then bought a Class A. Oh well ... there are trade-offs!!

    1. They ARE selling it, Ken. The first offer fell through, so they sent me lots of pictures, however they did have a backup offer and wanted to leave asap. Unfortunately I couldn't get there in time.
