Best way ever to start out the day!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAN CHANCE!!! I'm not counting the candles, but don't burn the house down, okay??? I'm sure Patty will play the chicken dance for you!!! Have a great day! Eat PIZZA and CAKE!!! I'll bring the cookies in December.
I was up, but not moving very fast on this morning. I kept getting distracted. I took the pork loin out of the freezer, but I spotted a can of Pepsi. That reminded me of the two credit cards that needed payments, followed by I really SHOULD vacuum the house so I drug the vacuum out ... but I succumbed to the YOU NEED TO RUN in my head, so just got dressed and hit the road. It seems to happen a lot these days.
The moon was still up as it hit me that it was too cold to be running without a jacket. Oh well ... too late now.
I did okay this time ... running most of the two miles I covered. Even with the sun coming up, it was a chilly run!
When I got back, I completely forgot the vacuum (probably on purpose) and grabbed the card from my camera. Not the best moon picture, but it does look like it's on fire.
This one got a little better with the clouds floating by.
Not the very best, but it's all I got. I did finally get all the batteries charged up and set my gear up for a photo trip next week. I'll tell you about that one later.
Kitters has found her new hang-out spot in the sun. She slept here most of the morning. By the way, she is not a lightweight any more. This kid weighs in at 11.5 pounds now. A huge increase from the one pound she started out at. AND it's her birthday, though I really don't know exactly when that is. The Vet seems to think she is now 3 years old.
I was on Amazon for the next couple of hours trying to find a replacement for this battery pack I used with my phone. I loved it ... and it worked perfectly. Sadly, my new phone connections do not work with it, not to mention the outside cover disintegrated into a sticky mess. What's up with that??
Squirrel!!! That's when I noticed Kitters wonky eyes. The left one always looks bigger. By the way, the LIZARD COUNTER is up to 27!!! I spotted one skittering across the floor. Boy those guys are hard to catch! I skittered after him clear across the house before corralling him in a cardboard box. Out the door he went!!
I know ... the vacuum is still sitting there ... but this quilt was calling me to finish it up. I stitched on the last borders in record time. It's ready for quilting.
That reminded me of the Halloween quilt I made last year, so I brought it out for show.
In less than two seconds, Missy La La was laying on it. I just love her skull face mouth. Yeah, she got shooed off to the floor. FINALLY I actually DID vacuum the floor ... in the entire house ... once I figured out how to RUN the vacuum. I suppose I should do that more often!
I spent the rest of the day watching game 3 of the World Series. Talk about a crazy game!! The Brewers got into the fifth inning and just went ballistic. They scored EIGHT runs in that inning, a World Series record, bringing them up to a total of ten to win the game 10-1. They are now 3-0, having won the first three games of the series. I'm just guessing here, but I think it's a good bet they will win.

Thanks for the birthday shout. I'm now a member of a pretty exclusive club that's still on two wheels. Looking forward to your annual visit in Dec.
ReplyDeleteRight??? VERY exclusive club!! Can't wait to hang out with Patty and you.
DeleteI have to say I can certainly identify with your thinking I should do ........ then getting distracted by .......... and thinking I should do ............ I always wonder how I could think of 20 things at once. Maybe it's called ADD, I don't know. I'm still trying to figure out how to benefit from it.....LOLOL. Kitters scritches.
ReplyDeleteVivian in North Texas
That's it exactly Vivian!!! It seems the couch always wins out! LOL

ReplyDeleteFrznces:)
Thank you Frances ... it was a fun one to make.
DeleteYour quilt is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember getting distracted so.much as a younger lady so age has a lot to do with it. As a young 20 yr. Old Mom, i had a lot going on.🤷♀️
I have to agree with that ... I had lots more energy when I was young to do twice as much as I do now!!!
DeleteHappy Birthday to Dan and Kitters. Your quilts are all beautiful and love it when you spread them out. Great moon photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue. I wish I had more wall space to hang the quilts!!
DeleteGo Brewers, from a Wisconsin reader.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very LONG game, this one. Sadly, they didn't win. What a close one though. I thought it would never end.
DeleteHappy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Dan thanks you .. and so does Kitters!!!
DeleteGlad I'm really not a Tampa Rays fan.... LOL
ReplyDeleteLong game that one ... and they actually won. Hoping for a great celebration from the Brewers if they can just win one more game.
