I did have time to make a quick stop at the railroad trestle just down the highway. There's not a LOT of highway, therefore not a lot of walkway and very little parking. This road was one of the original toll roads through this area. Basically, they borrowed the money for the road, then charged tolls until the $6,000 was repaid. People here have been enjoying the benefits ever since.
Here's one of the trestle's we will be traveling over as we take the train to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
Oops ... in checking my watch, it's time to run. We have to be in the kitchen by 6:30 to get this party rolling!! Pictures later!
