Lots of Hanging Going On

I imagine there was the REAL variety of hanging going on around here in the old days, meaning a little neck stretching when you stole a horse or a man's wife, but nowadays this is the only hanging at Lost Horse Ranch.

I hung my first quilt in the sewing room.  This one is pretty dear to my heart since I purchased the materials on my trip to Alaska ... my very first long motorhome trip.  I even won third place at a quilt show near Sacramento.  My first EVER ribbon for quilting.
Next up I hung the hummingbird feeder.  I decided to take my readers thoughts to heart.  Much as I would love to have a bird feeder, the seed brings rats which bring snakes ... none of which I need or want around my little ranch house.  It took a few hours, but now I have hummers fighting over the nectar.
There's only one quick image, taken between emptying the garbage and vacuuming the floor.  They are all extremely tiny and fast as lightning.  One of these days I'll sit with my camera at the ready.
In between all of the hanging (including the drapes which took most of the day) I whipped up another loaf of wonderful healthy bread.  Chef Patty donated a bag of flax seed.  With no idea what in the world to do with it, I finally found a suitable sounding recipe with ingredients I actually had around the house, except for the bread flour and honey, which Chef Patty delivered to my door.
Not bad .... not bad at all.  I added some sunflower crunch just for fun.
I'm here to say it made the best grilled cheese sandwich ever!!  I'm kind of liking the flavor of "back to nature" ... more like back to the ancient days of bread making with NO preservatives.  Of course having a bread machine takes all the work out of it, meaning it's a much more palatable idea.
I even did a test run on my mailing address.  I didn't want to fill out an address change card resulting in loads of junk mail.  All I required was some of my precious coffee.  Can you believe it?  No shipping problems, nor did I have to steal it back from the neighbor.  They actually delivered it to the right address.  So lets see what ELSE I can order.
There have been a couple of nice sunsets here and there.  I've never been one to sit on the porch and watch the world go by.  My mind won't shut down enough to sit still.  In the last few days however, I might have been seen sitting outside watching the critters at the water station and MY critters so they didn't become dinner for a roving coyote.
The drapes have finally been hung with care, after taking out eight of those little plastic pound-in-the-wall thingys in order to save the sheetrock.  It didn't save anything and I had eight big holes to fill with putty.  I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Fun Facts:  Arizona has 3,928 mountain peaks and summits, more than any other mountain state, including Colorado, Wyoming and Idaho, among others.  26 of them are over 10,000 feet high, and here I thought Arizona was all desert ... except for that big hole up north called the Grand Canyon!!
