Well, I survived the day, but it was one of the worst in my entire life. Thank you so much to every one for the kind words.
Whoever said food poisoning, NAILED IT. I can't even begin to explain the pain it caused. Not a nice picture, but I threw up for 20 hours straight, every 30-45 minutes. The rolling stomach cramps were the worst.
Where did that come from? I think it was those frozen meatballs I bought at Walmart to make that sweet and sour dish. I divided it into small containers and stuck it in the freezer. When I ate one a few weeks ago, I got rather sick, but didn't pay it much mind. I should have. I ate another one Wednesday night, and that caused all the havoc.
I finally called an on-line doc and he said 48 hours before I feel better. Nothing to do but ride it out.
What saved me was finally being able to sip some liquids last night. I tried Pepsi first since that's all I had. Water only made it worse. That's when I remembered I had offered a ride to an Elks member, so I called to tell him there was no way. He asked if he could help. That wonderful man went and bought this 7-Up for me. It made all the difference.
Glad you’re feeling better. I can relate to the way you’re feeling as I’ve had food poisoning a few times. Tea and plan toast always helped me feel better. Doris from Pa
ReplyDeleteToast just might work. Thank you Doris.
DeleteGood you figured out the cause and go easy Nancy. When you get sick that much it makes your sides hurt.
ReplyDeleteFeel better and what a good friend to bring you 7 up.
Thinking of you
Sue
Oh boy do your sides hurt!! You are right Sue!
DeleteBless your friends heart for bringing you 7 Up.
ReplyDeleteTake care and get well soon.
Frances:)
He was a Prince!! Thank you Frances.
DeleteGlad to see you are on the mend. FP is the worst! Get some rest and you will be back in no time!
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly right there!! Bad stuff!
DeleteGood ole Salmonella or E. Coli ... not fun...most likely Salmonella. How much of your food on hand are you going to toss??? Might be the meatballs...or the BBQ Sauce...did you have any greens with it? Hope you have a better day.
ReplyDeleteAll of it ... I tossed ALL of it. Meatballs, frozen veggies, BBQ sauce ... oh my aching stomach!!
DeleteYikes! I'm glad you are on the mend too. I thought maybe it was Bingo that made you sick. LOL Darn meatballs!!🤢
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was the same, but then I remembered getting queasy when I ate that same dish previously.
DeleteThankfully you are starting to feel better. Food poisoning really takes it out of you. My last experience, probably 15 years ago, was after ordering take Orange Chicken from our local Chinese restaurant. Have not been back since. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOh don't say that! I love that Orange Chicken!! lol
DeleteGlad you are back. Nice that your friend was able to help you out,
ReplyDeleteSounds like the meat was Freezer Burnt. That is worse than food poisoning.
Stay Safe and Enjoy the kids.
It's about time.
I can't even explain how bad it was.
DeleteGlad you made it through. That sounds pretty bad. Thank goodness for the friend who brought 7 UP. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThank you Deb. Definitely thank goodness for Gary.
