Good Grief!!! This is surely one of the most awful things that can happen to you. I have never been able to sit still, even when sick. Yesterday was a whole new experience. I did nothing but sit and/or lay on the couch. I hardly even picked up my phone. The stomach grumbling even woke up Cooper it was so loud.
The worst part ... now I'm afraid to eat ANYTHING!! I finally got five Ritz crackers down with an entire can of 7-Up. That took all day to accomplish.
And then I SNEEZED!! I thought I was going to croak! The pain in my ribs is real. A pulled muscle in the upper right side. In other words, I'm a WRECK!!
Kitters was a good girl and didn't bother me all morning. She just slept in her latest spot. She's funny how she sneaks around the house. She hides under things ... the chair, my saddle rack, the quilting machine ... keeping an eye out I guess.
Even Cooper was a good boy and didn't bother me at all like normal. He slept at one end, I slept at the other. I kept thinking about what I might be able to eat, but alas, I have nothing. Enchilada casserole? Definitely not. Salad? I don't think so. The only thing I could come up with was a grilled cheese sandwich, of which I took two bites. Note to self ... go buy some Campbells chicken and noodle soup and leave it in the cupboard.
I did finally get up the gumption to let Cooper out for all of five minutes. YAY!! Spring has arrived! Dandelions are here. It was a beautiful fairly warm sunny day, but I wasn't feeling it. Back to the couch I went.
Today I'll make a Walmart order and go pick up some soup and crackers. I'm not going to get better or gain any strength unless I eat something.
That's it ... that's all I've got. Thank you for all the good thoughts and prayers. Hopefully I'll be up an at em soon!!
Hope you feel better in a couple of days Nancy. Rest !
ReplyDeleteSue
Surprisingly, that's all I've done. Rarely am I a couch potato.
DeleteI'm so sorry you have been so sick. Hopefully you can eat a little something today.
ReplyDeleteRest my friend and keep hydrated.
Frances:)
I have to admit, I'm loving the fact that it's good for me to drink two sodas a day! lol
DeleteCooper senses that momma is not quite right and cuts you some slack, just letting you get better. Hope you are back on your feet soon!
ReplyDeleteYes he did ... but it didn't last long! You know how these kids are!
DeleteIt's amazing how our animals know when we are not feeling well. Yes, Campbell's Chicken and Noodle is a great staple to have on hand along with crackers. Take care and feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on it!!!
DeleteFound the perfect puzzle for you, The Clearly Impossible Puzzle, on Amazon.
ReplyDeleteUh oh ... okay, I'll look it up. Actually that might be a good pastime until I get better!
DeleteWhen I'm not well chicken noodle soup is my "go to" food. I find the broth to be very soothing to my digestive tract.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I need for sure. Going to order some today.
DeleteYes, chicken noodle soup is best...add a few crackers to it. Once I started out with Ramen Noodles before going to chicken noodle. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave. I think I will survive, but I sure am hungry.
DeleteI believe that our pets know when we are unwell which is why they are less demanding, I hope that you are improving
ReplyDeleteYes I think you are right Joanne. Getting better little by little.
DeleteNot the way anyone wants to lose weight. 😪 yes, something in your tummy would give a bit of energy at least. 😘
ReplyDeleteAnd here I was all set for a BIG BURGER on Super Bowl day!
DeleteWhen my stomach is upset as badly as yours is, I like to just drink the broth off that soup. Gatorade will help, too, as it replaces electrolytes. That what Pedialite will do as well but Gatorade is designed for adults.
ReplyDeleteLinda Sand
I'm ordering Gatorade today. Going to keep some in the fridge from now on.
DeleteGolly, dear one, you’ve been through the mill, as
ReplyDeletemy mother would say.
It is such a good idea to always keep some
7 UP around and soup. I try and keep several
cartons of Bone Broth….i like the beef, it has more
nutrients than the regular broth.
Grace and mercy to you. 🌺
Linda a.
Thank you Linda. I think I will survive ... as soon as I get something warm to eat.
DeleteNancy, when I had food poisoning, I made Oatmeal, just made with water, no milk! Make it a touch bit soupy. It will wash down all the toxi ns..it was the only thing that helped! good luck. Hope you will feel better! Mimi
ReplyDeleteWell Mimi ... I just happen to have some in the cupboard. I'm making it for breakfast this morning! Thank you so much for the advice!!! Nurse Patty told me the same thing yesterday!
DeleteNancy,
ReplyDeleteAll Campbells soups contain “bio engineered product” ….
It’s written in small letters on the label under the ingredients.
I never buy them any more.
There is a brand called Pacific….its clean and organic
I have had Pacific soup! It's delicious!! I'll add that to my list.
DeleteOh my gosh. Sending healing thoughts your way. Kitters is worried about you I am sure. She doesn't know what to do! Awww, bith babies are worried and watching you. Feel better
ReplyDeleteWatching me like a hawk! And following me everywhere.
