And The Pain Continues

Good Grief!!!  This is surely one of the most awful things that can happen to you.  I have never been able to sit still, even when sick.  Yesterday was a whole new experience.  I did nothing but sit and/or lay on the couch.  I hardly even picked up my phone.  The stomach grumbling even woke up Cooper it was so loud.

The worst part ... now I'm afraid to eat ANYTHING!!  I finally got five Ritz crackers down with an entire can of 7-Up.  That took all day to accomplish.

And then I SNEEZED!!  I thought I was going to croak!  The pain in my ribs is real.  A pulled muscle in the upper right side.  In other words, I'm a WRECK!!

Kitters was a good girl and didn't bother me all morning.  She just slept in her latest spot.  She's funny how she sneaks around the house.  She hides under things ... the chair, my saddle rack, the quilting machine ... keeping an eye out I guess.

Even Cooper was a good boy and didn't bother me at all like normal.  He slept at one end, I slept at the other.  I kept thinking about what I might be able to eat, but alas, I have nothing.  Enchilada casserole?  Definitely not.  Salad?  I don't think so.  The only thing I could come up with was a grilled cheese sandwich, of which I took two bites.  Note to self ... go buy some Campbells chicken and noodle soup and leave it in the cupboard.

I did finally get up the gumption to let Cooper out for all of five minutes.  YAY!!  Spring has arrived!  Dandelions are here.  It was a beautiful fairly warm sunny day, but I wasn't feeling it.  Back to the couch I went.

Today I'll make a Walmart order and go pick up some soup and crackers.  I'm not going to get better or gain any strength unless I eat something.

That's it ... that's all I've got.  Thank you for all the good thoughts and prayers.  Hopefully I'll be up an at em soon!!

  6. When I'm not well chicken noodle soup is my "go to" food. I find the broth to be very soothing to my digestive tract.

  10. When my stomach is upset as badly as yours is, I like to just drink the broth off that soup. Gatorade will help, too, as it replaces electrolytes. That what Pedialite will do as well but Gatorade is designed for adults.

  11. Golly, dear one, you’ve been through the mill, as
    my mother would say.
It is such a good idea to always keep some
7 UP around and soup. I try and keep several
cartons of Bone Broth….i like the beef, it has more
    nutrients than the regular broth.
Grace and mercy to you. 🌺

  13. Nancy,
All Campbells soups contain “bio engineered product” ….
It’s written in small letters on the label under the ingredients.
I never buy them any more.
There is a brand called Pacific….its clean and organic
