The marguerites looked yummy and the food was delicious, as usual.
It was a chilly 31 degrees overnight, but very quiet in spite of the packed full park. Sunday morning it cleared out quickly as we all headed to our destinations. I followed Barbara and Tom, knowing that Barbara is a much better Map/GPS system than my rig has. As we drove along, she would let me know which lane to move into and when the turnoff was. It was clear sailing!!
Having heard from others ahead of us, we knew the Santa Ana winds were picking up, so we took the 210 highway around to US 10, missing most of the bad stuff. Traffic was light and we just cruised along.
It was thankfully an uneventful drive past the windmills and into Indio where 17 rigs are parked in the Walmart parking lot for the night. This morning we will line up and caravan to the fairgrounds where we will be parked by the FMCA Rally Crew.
It was nice to have a day with no problems sticking up their ugly heads!!! The best part is if they did, I have 17 experienced RV mechanics/electricians/drivers to help me out!!!
