The Chinook that came in ...You're right Linda. The Chinook that came in is a helicopter from the Viet Nam era. It's still in such good shape that a brave crew of four flew her into the base. I remember back in the early '70's I was out for a drive and somehow drove onto the base through the back gate, which was not manned. Just continued on through until I exited through the front gate, waving at the guard covering the entrance as I left... My husband was a helicopter pilot in Viet Nam so he taught me to recognize various helicopters.
